Data Points: Six QBs on pace to pass Marino

Okay, so Tom Brady is no longer on pace to throw for 7,000 yards this season — but he’s still on paced to obliterate Dan Marino‘s single-season yardage mark. And for the record, we will continue to make this a weekly feature in Data Points as long as there are still a few NFL quarterbacks threatening Marino’s mark of 5,084 yards.

In fact, there were five QBs on pace to break the record last week, and that number has increased to six after the first quarter of the season. And as ridiculous as Brady’s numbers have been, Drew Brees is actually creeping up on him.
