Ochocinco unhappy, could be on pace for big day

You might want to take a moment and sit down for this news. Bengals WR Chad Ochocinco is unhappy with his role in the Bengals’ offense.

Stunning.

You mean to say that all of that talk about being Robin to Terrell Owens‘ Batman was really just bluster? That Ochocinco was probably being insincere? Honestly, folks, when you cannot take the word of a diva receiver who changed his name from Johnson to Ochocinco, then this really is a dark day for America.

Next thing you will tell me is that your average Fox News or MSNBC political pundit is not objective.

Ochocinco is fuming, but he really has become a nonfactor in the Bengals’ offense. Ochocinco has put together two huge fantasy games this season, as  recently as Week 7 against the Falcons. That is not enough to be considered as a relevant fantasy option. But that could change this week against the Colts.

Players who lobby for targets often get looked at, kind of like the squeaky wheel getting the grease. Kind of like how the guy who complains the most at the fast-food counter often gets his food first. (Though, truth be told, you probably would not want to eat that.)

So expect QB Carson Palmer to give Ochocinco a few looks this week — and you should consider him a better play than in previous weeks. But Ochocinco clearly is not a long-term answer.
