UPDATE: Freeman has returned from the locker room to the sideline, and looks to have been fitted with a flak jacket around his ribs as he warms up. It looks like we’ll see Freeman again.

While Matthew Stafford has managed to stay in Sunday’s game in Tampa, the case isn’t the same for Bucs QB Josh Freeman.
Freeman left the game late during the third quarter following a 2-yard scramble. He immediately motioned to the sideline after the play, and then left the field and ran into the tunnel with a team trainer. It could be another case of cramping, as the heat is a factor today in Tampa.
Josh Johnson came in for one play to finish the drive, and started the next series for the Bucs. No word yet from the Bucs.
