VIP Super Bowl auction to benefit United Way

What’s better than charity? It makes you feel warm and fuzzy, provides karmic redemption and even the taxman approves.

Now what could be better than going to Super Bowl XLV in the name of charity? Sure the tickets might cost a bit, but thanks to GMC and General Motors, all the proceeds will benefit the United Way partnership with the NFL to prevent childhood obesity.

Plus, the packages are pretty plush. Besides two tickets to the game, the deal also includes a four night stay at an NFL-sanctioned hotel, gift bags, a reception and tailgate party, and even some one-on-one time with former players like Mr. “Prime Time” himself, Deion Sanders, who won back-to-back Super Bowls in 1995 and 1996 with the 49ers and Cowboys.

The auction for the 35 VIP Super Bowl packages runs from now until Jan. 9, 2011, so bid away – after all, it’s for charity.
